Hopefully Virgin donated the money saved on creative production here to the actual charity and weren’t just riding on the back of a good cause to promote their brand? I can't see them in the sponsor list or mentioned in the clean up mobile phone campaign. Let's hope this is an omission.
Can anyone confirm this ran, or was it a scam?
I agree with the sentiment that if you're going to piggy back on a charitable cause, you better bloody commit some cash. And since financial services companies are typically a bunch of thieves, I hope Richard Branson did the right thing...

Nup, not an omission there is a reason they weren't allowed to link to the charity's site.

Yep, I can confirm it ran on Yahoo!7 but I just can't confirm whether the money was donated to charity. I can definitely confirm that I didn't see Mr Branson with garbage bag around Sydney Harbour on the day.
