This one had me typing in my full address just to see what happens.

Nice payoff for the user. For those who don't know what Earth Hour is check it out here.

Great stuff!

Funny.

There's no compulsion for me to do anything about global warming if we're all going to drown anyway - and that is waht this poor advert is saying. Cool for playing with the user's expectations but nothing else. Scaring people is easy, empowering them to do change behaviour is far harder.

What on earth aren you talking about, Paul H? How about bringing something to the attention of a wider audience - as this ad does brilliantly - and then people choosing to act of their own accord? Or would you like someone to hold your hand there, too?

Paul H is right. This is an effective 'trap' which will have a lot of people playing with it. I think a smarter copy line and perhaps some household objects floating by would make it more personal and relevant. Rough starter thought: 'If you ignore the warnings one day it could start knocking on your door. Click here to act now.'

I regularly use google earth. So when I saw this banner I thought exactly like what was written by banner blog " nice and simple" but it tuned out to be " cool & creative.
