Is it me or is the standard on the Cannes shortlist prove that they know nothing about digital? The last few banners have been nothing but poor ideas (if they even have an idea), badly executed and just awful.
And digital creatives wonder why their ATL counterparts think we're crap!
Yeah i agree - the Cannes banners this year have mostly been absent of good advertising ideas, concentrating more on production values such as video, people walking across web pages etc.
give it time, people will get used to flashy ads and we will all be going back to good, solid ideas again.
