962 pixels width !! It's a bit large isn't it ?
Great visuals, as always with Apple ... but no interactivity :(

Ok, the art direction is cool, but what makes this a banner and not a tv spot? i think is better think about relevance when doing advertising on internet.

Sounds like "The Pipettes" to me. Not sure though.
Why would they add interactivity. Everebody is an Apple fanboy these days. So people will click anyways. Their brand is that strong. The products are that good (marketed) that people are interested anyway. the communication just needs to show they are ther, it doesn't need to convince anymore (marketing and branding took care of that).
Communication just has to make sure it doesn't suck. That's good enough.
It actually is a TV spot, that's been ported over to the web. They did a nice job with it, but 1.6 megs just for an ad? Even with broadband I'm off that main page before it has a chance to wow me with its flashy goodness.

it's streaming video, so the size is irrelevant (probably less than 10K total). Apple did the same thing for a past ipod campaing. the demo here doesnt really do it justice, so check out the site(s) running it.
Yep, streaming TV and a wasted opportunity. Even a prompt to choose your own soundtrack in iTunes and then watch the figures dancing in sync to your beat would have been a little more rewarding for the user. But I agree - it's capitalising purely on the Apple brand rather than the medium.
This is just a music video. It's nice, but it isn't a banner.

It's a luxury position. But well earned.
