I am seeing more and more video banner floating around. Is this the future direction of the humble banner ad? What happened to using the power of interaction in banners to engage the viewer?
Just a detail about this campaign. It was performed by Teemic Studio from France. You can see other banners on : https://www.teemic.com/dev/crashday/. Regards.
cool integration of the downloadable wallpapers. it's a little unintuitive though. i think we'll start to see more and more embedded video thanks to companies like eyeblaster, pointroll, etc. i am not opposed to it.

agreed - the other odd factor in this is the auto sound on. I've run across very very few sites that will allow sound that is not user initiated.

A banner for a game about crashing cars! Sweet brief and this is the end product. Doh. At least the video isn't in a square box.
Auto sound banners are annoying, but imagine if TVC's were like banner ads where you had to get the user to click the remote to hear the ad.
